I’ve always felt that houses slowly take on the personality of the people who occupy them, and there is something sad about a house that hasn’t been lived in for awhile. Our house was empty for several years before we bought it, and I can’t help but feel that the house is somehow happier now that we are in it. Work being done, dogs and cats (and sometimes goats) running around, our granddaughter laughing maniacally as she slaps her own butt and runs from room to room. All of it comes together and brings the house back to life…little by little.

Dogs, cats, goats wandering into the kitchen…

Our granddaughter loving on various animals…

Splashing in the pool on the porch…

And playing in the creek.

Naked baby butt, and dressed up for the ball.

Gotta love Christmas!

And one day this happened…

Her favorite chair, given to us by some good friends.

After a long day working on the house.
